One of Nintendo’s great success stories in recent years (and one could almost say of the video game industry in general) is Animal Crossing New Horizons, so the title became in 2020 a way of escape for millions around the world who regarded it as a way to get away from confinement and pandemic.
This made it the best-selling title of the saga, the second best-selling on Nintendo Switch and one of the most successful in history.
Nevertheless, we must say that the saga had already millions of fans before 2020, at the same time that those who joined from this year makes it a very profitable saga for Nintendo, giving rise to that, with the Japanese company’s intention to extend its licenses to other areas, there is an entire market in which to make profits while giving the fans what they ask for. And it looks like stuffed animals could be the great Animal Crossing revolution.
Monica, Munchi, and other Animal Crossing characters are coming in the form of plush toys
As revealed recently, it looks like Sanei, a famous plush toy brand since 1938, will officially take charge of bringing the inhabitants of Animal Crossing to stores in the form of plush toys, so that characters such as Monica, Munchi, Judy and others you can see in the image above will be available for purchase.
It is important to mention that no dates have been announced nor if the number of available characters will be increased, and it is not even known if they will come out of Japan. For this reason, we recommend you to be alert to any kind of news.
Furthermore, it goes without saying that this trend of launching plushies is not a new one with Nintendo licenses, since Sanei is in fact in charge of official Pokémon plushies, as well as Mario, so the fans will be with an experienced supplier.
