Atomic Heart Combat Trailer Revealed

It is an action role-playing game set in an alternate Soviet Union...!

Atomic Heart

Atomic Heart’s years of smoke and smoke is slowly dissipating with trailers. The one today is just over three and a half minutes long and is focused on the combat system, so it is all gameplay. Still to be revealed by the Russian studio Mundfish is a release date.

For now we only know that the game for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Game Pass and PC (Steam) is due to be available between September and December 2022.

The new trailer for Atomic Heart tells us that we are facing a title with a combat system that will be very familiar to those who have played any BioShock.

The protagonist has a glove on his left hand that allows him to launch abilities to manipulate the environment and enemies, whom he can also freeze or electrify. His right hand is used to wield any type of weapon, including handguns, pistols, machine guns and shotguns, and blunt melee instruments.

Certain weapons can be used with one hand to combine with the gauntlet’s abilities, whereas others require both limbs. Either way, this is a much faster combat system than BioShock, where we did not see so many enemies on screen.

The trailer also gives us a good sample of the robots and mutants that await us in this dystopian environment of the Soviet Union. There are opponents of all sizes, including giant robot bosses.

Atomic Heart’s story takes place in an alternate version of the Soviet Union where robotics and other advanced technologies were developed after World War II.

We are in an extremely robotic world where everyday tasks have been automated and science has been given all the power to achieve perfect cities and a happy society.

But what happens when there is a system failure in a facility and the machinery rebels against the people? That is what we will find out in Atomic Heart.

The main character of the campaign is Commander P-3 and his mission is to eliminate the consequences of the large-scale accident and prevent the leak of classified information. Enemies are not only robots initially designed to assist humans, but also mutants created from secret experiments.
