FIFA’s Free-to-Play Rival Won’t Debut This Year, UFL Premiere Delayed

The UFL is a new game about football, which is expected to come out with a free-to-play model. It was scheduled for release this year, but now the developers from Strikerz Inc. have announced that the game is going to be released in 2023.

The company has released a video, in which the head of the studio Eugene Nashilov is explaining the reasons for the decision. You can watch the mentioned video, which, besides the studio CEO, also shows the game, at the end of this post.

At the moment, the production is 80 percent ready with many improvements still to be made. According to the Strikerz Inc. CEO’s words, the developers’ goal is “to create a reactive, realistic AAA sports game that would offer the highest quality graphics and gameplay.”

In this regard, the studio still requires some additional time. There was already some speculation that UFL would not be released this year, and those rumors now have official confirmation.
