When talking about the Epic Games Store, one cannot ignore the importance that the platform has been and continues to have for gamers, in particular in the light of the periodic monthly giveaways that are given without the need for any subscription so they can be redeemed by everyone.

This is precisely why, in the midst of announcements of free PC games during Black Friday and beyond, leaks popped up that Epic’s famous holiday promotion may be coming back.

Those who are not familiar with it, this is a period – in full advent calendar style – during which a video game is being offered as a free gift every day.

At times these are minor and independent productions, while there have been several surprises over the past few years. This is precisely why, throughout 2019 and 2020, Epic Games’ event initiative has been praised by users.

Indeed, in those two years, the platform had made no less than twelve games free, therefore going to enrich the holiday season of all gamers with lots of new experiences to enjoy and adventures to complete.

Currently, however, Epic Games did not confirm any of these rumors that it would be engaged in the big free Christmas promotion again this year. Therefore, how did such information surface? The news was reportedly broken by a well-known and trusted leaker in the gaming scene: Billbil-kun.

He stated that the above-mentioned offer would not only be repeated again this year, but even went further with the details of the promotion.

In the leaker’s own words, the initiative would last from December 15, 2022 to January 10, 2023. On top of the previous games given away since 2018, the launch date of the platform, there would be another list of titles, which would fill a time period of about four weeks.

However, we are still awaiting to know when and if the initiative will come to fruition for the year that is coming to an end. Those days between now and the fateful Dec. 15 will be full of anticipation and hope for gamers, who will certainly be excited at the mere idea of receiving so many games for free.

As stated in the opening, the company is definitely not new to such initiatives, as in the case of the two new gifts recently released on the Epic Games Store. So which games would you like to receive for free? Let us know in the comments down below.
