The anticipation for a new season of Call of Duty is palpable, as fans eagerly await the arrival of a fresh battle pass and exciting updates to multiplayer and battle royale.

However, it seems that the arrival of Season 2 may be delayed, according to a dataminer who goes by the name of CODSploitz.

While Activision has yet to officially announce a release date for the upcoming season, the days left in Season 1’s battle pass had many projecting that Season 2 would go live on or around February 1.

But CODSploitz, who has a track record of accurately revealing release dates in the past, is now suggesting that the second season of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 may be delayed.

According to CODSploitz, datamining now shows the last Season 1 bundle will arrive on February 2 with an end date of February 15, leading them to believe that Season 2 will begin on or after February 15.

Given that datamined shop bundles have been used in the past to help determine the start and end times for Call of Duty seasons, it’s very possible that we may be looking at a two-week delay for the highly-anticipated second season.

While this news may be disappointing for fans, remember that all good things come to those who wait. And let’s be honest, with a new season of Call of Duty on the horizon, the wait is going to be worth it.

As fate would have it, history seems to be repeating itself with the latest update for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.

Last year, the launch of Vanguard and Warzone 1’s Season 2 was plagued with similar issues and was pushed back from its original release date of February 1st to February 14th, to allow the developers more time to fine-tune the game and iron out any bugs and glitches.

And, as the old adage goes, where there’s smoke, there’s fire. It’s not far-fetched to assume that Activision may announce a similar delay for the much-anticipated Season 2 update to ensure that both the multiplayer and battle royale aspects of the game are up to par.

While Season 1 has managed to avoid the same level of technical difficulties as Caldera map, it’s not without its own set of criticisms.

The clunky UI and the lack of leaderboards and stats for the battle royale mode have been common complaints among players.

The developers have made some small changes in Season 1 to improve the Social tab for Modern Warfare 2’s menus, but it’s possible that Season 2 could bring even more enhancements and bug fixes to the table. After all, a good game is never truly finished, only temporarily abandoned.

As the winter winds howled and the snow blanketed the earth, the warriors of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 were gifted with a bountiful update in December.

The arrival of Season 1 Reloaded brought with it the mighty Chimera assault rifle, the chaotic Shipment multiplayer map, and the first-ever Raid episode in the storied history of the Call of Duty franchise.

But as the season draws to a close, the rumble of battle can already be heard on the horizon. For the fearless soldiers of Modern Warfare 2, the promise of another Raid episode looms, an opportunity to test their mettle and emerge victorious.

While much of the content for Season 2 remains shrouded in speculation, whispers and rumors can be heard on the wind. Some speak of a Japanese theme, of Ronin operators returning to the fray, of new weapons and maps yet to be discovered.

But for those who crave the thrill of battle, the mystery only adds to the excitement. So sharpen your blades, ready your weapons, and keep an eye on our breakdown of all the rumors and leaks surrounding Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. For the true warriors, the next chapter in this epic conflict is just around the corner.
