Can We Play Star Wars From Ubisoft This Year? Here’s What One of the Developers Suggests

Massive Entertainment studio announced last month that it was looking for applicants to take part in testing an upcoming open-world game set in the Star Wars universe.

The said production was announced in January 2021, but until now we have not received any materials and details about the title.

It is possible, though, that in the coming months this situation will change, at least that is what one of the developers suggests.

Ubisoft Massive Entertainment creative director Julian Gerighty published a post on the social networking site Twitter, where he decided to wish players a New Year’s wish.

Ubisoft’s Star Wars could be unveiled in 2023

Also, the developer announced that it would be a “big year” for the said studio and encouraged fans to “join the journey.” Meanwhile, this post was accompanied by a graphic dedicated to an upcoming game from the Star Wars universe, on which Ubisoft is working together with Lucasfilm Games.

So it is possible that the developers from Massive Entertainment are preparing to present a new open-world production set in the Star Wars universe.

Sadly, Gerighty didn’t share any additional details. So Star Wars fans have no choice but to closely follow the information published by the developers and hope that Ubisoft will indeed present the aforementioned game in the coming months.

Lastly, it’s worth recalling that, in the opinion of Tom Henderson – a well-known industry insider and journalist – we will have to wait until at least 2025 for the release of Star Wars from Ubisoft.

It is also worth remembering that Massive Entertainment studio is also currently developing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which is scheduled to debut next fiscal year.
