Steam Awards 2022 has come to a close and, just as promised, we finally get to find out the winners for each category. To dispel any doubt, yes: Elden Ring is Game of the Year again after racking up awards, acclaim, and sales.

After all, the From Software title has already stocked up on awards, with total numbers that were really hard to imagine.

But while Elden Ring also triumphed at the Steam Awards 2022, very interesting surprise awards emerged from the nominations promoted by Valve’s store.

The voting closed at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2022, and, just as you can see, there are some video games that were able to take a run for their money.

Specifically Cyberpunk 2077 and Stray, which both we able to take home awards as announced by the official page.

So in the end, Cyberpunk 2077 did take home an award after all, as we had imagined. It has to be said that Elden Ring also took home GOTY award, but amongst other things, because it was the most abandoned game of the year, some people felt it did not deserve to win this award.

What do you think about all these winners? Did Elden Ring deserved to win GOTY award in your opinion? Let us know in the comments section below.
