While it’s unclear whether this is the only character to make an appearance, fans are already buzzing with excitement at the prospect of new storylines and plot twists.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead! If you haven’t played The Last of Us Part II, proceed at your own risk.

During the finale, Joel is seen storming through a hospital in search of Ellie. In the background, fans noticed a brief appearance of a character who could potentially be Abby from the sequel.

Abby seeks revenge for her father’s death and her character is integral to the plot of the game. Fans are excited by the idea that this brief appearance in the finale could lay the foundation for future storylines in the series.

But the references don’t stop there. Fans also noted the appearance of two voice actresses from the game in guest roles. Ashley Johnson, who voices Ellie in the games, plays Ellie’s mother in the series.

Laura Bailey, who voices Abby in the game, appears as the surgeon’s assistant during the scene in which Ellie is on the operating table. Fans were delighted to see these familiar faces in the show.
