It seems like fans of the popular shooter game, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, have something exciting to look forward to.
Reports from some third-party testers who are responsible for quality control of the new shooter game developed by Valve reveal that the highly anticipated sequel, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2, is in development and a beta version of the game is set to launch soon, possibly by the end of March.
The existence of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2 was first revealed by an NVIDIA leak, which left fans wondering about the reliability of the information. However, the anonymous testers have now confirmed that the sequel is indeed being developed and production is well underway.
Valve seems to have made Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2 a priority, as the majority of its resources are being channeled into the sequel. This could explain why the current version of the game has been receiving minimal support lately.

The testers have revealed that the primary objective of the development team is to launch the beta version and then focus on polishing the experience, fixing any bugs, and delivering the level of quality that fans have come to expect from the series.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2 will use the Source 2 engine, which might limit its performance on low-end configurations. However, the online system is set to include 128-tick servers like those of Valorant, which should greatly improve matchmaking.
