Cyberpunk 2077: New Update Promises Ultra-Realistic Graphics

A highly-anticipated update for Cyberpunk 2077 is set to revolutionize the game's graphics with ultra-realistic visuals. The update will be available on PC in mid-April, but requires powerful hardware to run.

Since its announcement, technology has been a major topic surrounding Cyberpunk 2077. Fans eagerly awaited the game’s release, but many were left disappointed with technical issues, particularly on consoles.

Despite these setbacks, CD Projekt Red has continued to work on the game, and has partnered with Nvidia to release a new update that promises to be a game-changer.

The “Overdrive Mode,” set to release on April 11th for PC players, will introduce “path tracing” technology to Cyberpunk 2077. Also known as “Full Raytracing,” Nvidia boasts that the technology is “indistinguishable” from reality, as reported by Gamesradar.

Pawel Kozlowski, Nvidia’s Senior Technology Developer Engineer, spoke about the impact of this technology at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

He stated that the new technology not only enhances the beauty of the game, but has the potential to revolutionize the way games are created in the future.

However, the update comes with a caveat: “path tracing” is only available on the RTX 40 series and with DLSS 3, so players will need powerful hardware to fully enjoy the technology.

With this update, Cyberpunk 2077 has the potential to set a new standard for gaming graphics, immersing players in a world that is even more lifelike than before.

Though it will require a significant investment in hardware, dedicated fans of the game may find the expense worth it for the unparalleled experience that the “Overdrive Mode” promises to deliver.
