Koei Tecmo, the Japanese video game company, recently announced their financial results for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2023. According to the company, both Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Wild Hearts had “successful” releases, although no official data on their sales figures have been released.

The Souls-type action game, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, was developed by Team Ninja, while Wild Hearts is a monster hunting title developed by Omega Force.

Although no specific details were given, Koei Tecmo’s announcement indicates that both titles were well-received by the gaming community.

Apart from the two aforementioned games, Koei Tecmo also highlighted the successful release of Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End and The Secret Key in its report.

Despite Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End being launched on the same day as the highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake, it managed to sell over 290,000 units worldwide. Meanwhile, Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse sold 120,000 copies during its release.

Koei Tecmo is looking forward to the upcoming release of Rise of the Ronin, which is expected to sell five million copies on PlayStation 5. While no specific release date has been confirmed yet, the company is optimistic about its future prospects.

In its report, Koei Tecmo declared an income of $584.3 million (approx. €530 million), representing a 7.8% increase from the previous year. However, net profit fell by 12.5% during the same period, down to $230.5 million (approx. €208 million).

Looking ahead, Koei Tecmo has projected revenue of $710 million (approx. €643 million) and sales of 10.4 million units in fiscal year 2023.

This estimate takes into account the potential success of Rise of the Ronin, as well as other upcoming releases. With its optimistic outlook, Koei Tecmo is poised to continue its success in the gaming industry.
