Last year, the primary series of ‘The Walking Dead’ wrapped up its monumental journey after eleven gripping seasons. Nevertheless, the show’s creator, AMC, is not ready to close the book on this universe. The production of several spin-off series is already underway, aiming to quench the viewers’ thirst for more post-apocalyptic drama.

A few of these spin-offs have already hit the screens, including ‘Fear the Walking Dead’, which recently embarked on its eighth and final season. Amid the excitement of the current episode, AMC stirred the pot by treating the fans to a snippet of an eagerly-awaited project.

The Return of Daryl Dixon

Norman Reedus, arguably one of the most recognized faces from the original series, is back under the spotlight reprising his role as Daryl Dixon! To mark the commencement of filming, a teaser has been unveiled, providing fans with a glimpse of the on-set action. Production is in full swing in France for the appropriately titled spin-off, ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’.

Though the show’s title has been disclosed, the release date remains under wraps. Fans are encouraged to keep their anticipation in check until at least late 2023 or possibly 2024.

The storyline unfolds with Daryl washing ashore in France under mysterious circumstances. As he grapples with this predicament, we, the viewers, are equally oblivious about how he ended up there.

Nevertheless, the French shore doesn’t offer respite from the threat of the infected or from other survivors. However, one thing is crystal clear: Daryl is determined to return to his homeland.

The ensemble for this exciting new chapter includes not only Norman Reedus, but also Clémence Poésy, Erig Ebanouey, Anne Charrier, Laika Blanc Francard, and many others.

Notably, Carol, another fan-favorite character from the original series, won’t be featuring in the spin-off. Fans can look forward to uncovering the new dynamics and adventures that await Daryl Dixon in this European setting.
