In what seems like an impressive homage to their fellow gaming creators, Destiny 2 has taken a bold step with the commencement of the ‘Season of the Deep’.
The exciting collaborations they’ve integrated this season go beyond the expected, demonstrating the strength of the bond between Bungie and its parent company, Sony Interactive Entertainment, just a year after their merger.

Stepping into the Eververse shop, players will be met with an array of cosmetic items that pay tribute to some of Sony’s most esteemed video game franchises. Fans of the Ghost of Tsushima will be thrilled to discover armor that echoes the game’s design by Sucker Punch Productions.
Not to be outdone, fans of the God of War series, developed by Santa Monica Studio, can enjoy armor sets inspired by the franchise. Additionally, elements from Guerrilla Games’ popular Horizon franchise also find their place in this unique crossover.

Perhaps the most intriguing of all is the gear inspired by Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us series. Players can find themselves mesmerized by the intricately designed floronic Ghost Shell and Sparrow, which draws its inspiration from the terrifying cordyceps of the post-apocalyptic saga.
A distinct nod to the famous line, “That’s one small step for man…” gets a dark, fungal twist with the cheeky phrase, “That Clicker came from the Moon!”
While there’s no denying the allure of even more potential crossovers, the currently revealed ones bring more than enough excitement to the table. It’s indeed a refreshing sight to see creators of vastly different gaming experiences acknowledging each other in such a unique fashion.
It’s a testament to the wide-ranging possibilities that exist within the gaming world, highlighting that even amidst the epic battles and adventures, there’s always space for fun and respectful tributes among developers.
