In an ambitious move to push the boundaries of gaming graphics and performance, Neowiz, the studio behind the acclaimed ‘Lies of P‘, has announced plans for its sequel. This forthcoming project marks a significant technological leap, transitioning from Unreal Engine 4 to the more advanced Unreal Engine 5.

The announcement, made via a job posting on the studio’s official website, seeks a localization officer for the “next Lies of P project.” This upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 promises to deliver an unparalleled visual and action-packed experience, setting new standards for the souls-like genre.

‘Lies of P’, a game that ingeniously blends the dark, souls-like mechanics with a narrative inspired by the classic tale of Pinocchio, has already made waves in the gaming community. With its intricate level design, gripping storyline, and intense gameplay, the game has garnered a dedicated following. The shift to Unreal Engine 5 signifies Neowiz’s commitment to elevating the gaming experience, offering “top-notch graphics,” intricate level design, and heightened action.

The transition from Unreal Engine 4 to 5 is more than just a technical upgrade; it’s a visual revolution. Unreal Engine 5’s capabilities in rendering realistic environments, enhancing lighting effects, and providing more dynamic interactions will dramatically enhance the visual fidelity of the sequel. Gamers can anticipate a more immersive world, with intricate details and a heightened sense of realism.

While the sequel is still in its nascent stages, fans of ‘Lies of P’ have much to look forward to in the near term. Neowiz has disclosed plans for the first expansion of ‘Lies of P’, which is currently under development.

Early concept art teases new settings that players will explore as Pinocchio, hinting at expanded narratives and fresh challenges. Although the release date for this DLC remains under wraps, updates are expected in the coming months, keeping the excitement alive.

This expansion and the announcement of the sequel using Unreal Engine 5 signify a thrilling era for ‘Lies of P’ enthusiasts. As Neowiz continues to support the original game with new content, the anticipation for the sequel, with its advanced graphical engine, is building a palpable excitement in the gaming community. It’s a testament to the studio’s dedication to innovation and quality, promising an even more engaging and visually stunning gaming experience in the future.
