Well fans, get ready for more amazing TV from the genius behind Yellowstone! Taylor Sheridan is about to blow us away with a new show called Landman. It’s going to premiere on November 17th on Paramount+ – just a week after the final episodes of Yellowstone Season 5.
Landman takes place in West Texas and is about the oil boom happening there. It will show us the lives of roughnecks who work on the rigs and the billionaire wildcatters making fortunes off the black gold. But it will also look at how oil is changing our environment, economy, and international relations.
The cast for this show is incredible. Billy Bob Thornton leads the way as one of the landmen. Other huge names like Demi Moore, Ali Larter and Jon Hamm will also be in it. Plus, people from the Fort Worth area like Michelle Randolph and Jacob Lofland got roles. Even big stars like Andy Garcia and Michael Peña will show up!
A lot of the filming took place right in Fort Worth. Some locals even got to be extras on set at Texas Christian University. film students from TCU also shadowed the crew to learn from the pros.
The first two episodes of Landman’s 10-episode season will premiere together. Then it will release new episodes each Sunday, just like how Yellowstone and Sheridan’s other hits aired.
This new show joins Sheridan’s whole universe of great shows on Paramount+. That includes Yellowstone of course, plus 1883, Mayor of Kingstown and more. With Sheridan’s production company teaming up with MTV and 101 Studios, you know it’s going to be epic.
I’m dying to see Landman already! Do you think Fort Worth will host a big premiere like they did for Yellowstone Season 5? Sheridan cares a lot about that area since he went to high school there. So a big party seems very possible.
