The hit Netflix reality show “Selling Sunset” concluded its eighth season amid more controversy both in front of and behind the cameras. At the center of the latest drama is a new cast member, Amanda Lynn, whose early revelation about another cast member’s husband triggered tensions that grew throughout the season.
In one of the early episodes, Lynn shared details over lunch with fellow cast member Bre Tiesi that Jeff Lazkani, husband of realtor Chelsea Lazkani, had been seen kissing another woman at a Los Angeles hotel. This report immediately raised questions about Lynn’s motives in sharing the private matter and whether she aimed to join the show full-time. As the season progressed, Lynn accompanied Tiesi to the offices of the Oppenheim Group brokerage, with Tiesi voicing her intent to recommend Lynn as the newest agent.
However, the conflict did not end with the season’s final episode. Chelsea Lazkani later took to social media accusing Tiesi of orchestrating the whole situation with Lynn. “Bre brought her racist friend on the show to try to ruin me. I’ve never even met Amanda but they wanted to take me down,” Lazkani wrote. Adding another twist, Lazkani admitted in a separate online video that she played a role in the cheating allegations surfacing on the show, saying “I thought it could be a storyline so I told producers I wanted Bre to tell me.”
For her part, Tiesi maintains she was upfront with castmates about the information from Lynn. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Tiesi stated she had “a full conversation” with Lazkani and “every detail was very, very clear.” The controversy has also highlighted questions about Lynn’s background as a real estate agent and her true motivations in potentially joining the show.
