This October, Marvel Studios will launch the groundbreaking animated series “Marvel Zombies” on Disney+. The show will feature famous actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in a mature, post-apocalyptic adventure.

The TV-MA-rated show will star Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch again, her first appearance since “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” The show adds to the zombie-infected alternate world first shown in the cartoon series “What If…”

Survivors are shown fighting a terrible spread caused by a quantum virus that turned even the strongest heroes into zombie-like threats. This dark story sounds like it will be a rough look at the Marvel universe.

The speaking cast for Olsen also includes Florence Pugh, Simu Liu, David Harbour, Hailee Steinfeld, and Iman Vellani. Awkwafina, Randall Park, and Dominique Thorne are other actors who will bring their popular characters to life in the animated world.

Bryan Andrews (director) and Zeb Wells (writer) have made a show different from most MCU stories. The TV-MA rating means the Marvel world is more intense and geared toward adults.

Olsen’s involvement is especially important because her character’s fate was unclear in earlier movies. Fans wonder when she might show up in real life again, especially since the recent “Agatha All Along” series hinted at unfinished plots.

The show starts on Disney+ on October 3, 2025, and promises a new and exciting take on Marvel’s universe story.
