Konami invited gamers to a broadcast last night, in which the “latest news” regarding the Silent Hill series is to be presented. We might see an announcement of a brand new installment of the series during the show, or a presentation of a refreshed version of Silent Hill 2, which the Bloober Team is said to be in charge of.

In the meantime, it appears that Elijah Wood – famous for his role as Frodo in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy by Peter Jackson – has also chosen to invite his fans to the said event.

Wood has shared a Konami post informing about the upcoming broadcast about the Silent Hill series, but has not commented in any way on the Japanese company’s announcement, however. He only included an emoticon to the whole thing.

Meanwhile, it is worth mentioning that the actor is a co-founder of SpectreVision, a company that in 2018, in partnership with Ubisoft, launched Transference – an adventure game in the concept of a psychological thriller. Therefore, it is possible that Wood is engaged in the production of one of Konami’s upcoming projects.

Of course, there is a chance that the popular actor will perform in the upcoming installment of the Silent Hill series or in a new film set in the said universe, which is scheduled to hit theaters next year.

All of this we should find out at the live broadcast mentioned at the beginning of the news, which will begin on Wednesday – October 19 – at 2PM PDT.
