The smell of jasmine and vanilla is in the air. White frangipani blossoms exude their exotic, gentle aroma among hanging coconut palms, delicately polished granite rocks, colorfully and extravagantly chirping birds, and crystal clear powdered sugar beaches.

While a gentle breeze rustles through the tropical green foliage on land, moored sailboats in the water swing back and forth unagitated and easily in the crescent-shaped ocean bay. Where can you experience this picture-book scenery? The Seychelles – more precisely, the Constance Ephelia Seychelles.

Nestled between forested hills and two dream bays, holidaymakers stay here amid the 120-hectare Port Launay Marine Park. What the perfect Seychelles vacation in this luxury hotel looks like is described in our hotel portrait of the Constance Ephelia Seychelles.

What makes a vacation at the Constance Ephelia Seychelles worthwhile?

For starters, the verdant and hilly surroundings, the tropical flora and fauna, and two dream beaches surrounding the Constance Ephelia Seychelles promise exactly the kind of atmosphere vacationers hope for from a Seychelles getaway. In addition, the luxury resort, covering almost 200 hectares, provides perfect conditions for recovering from everyday stress, bringing body and mind into harmony or simply relaxing.

2022 Seychelles Travel Guide

From the Spa to the zip line, the guests have a wide range of options for leisure activities. Naturally, you live also in the exclusive resort on the main island Mahé on the highest level: the rooms, Suiten and mansions are integrated hardly observably into the dense “Resort jungle”, which brings you much Privatsphäre.

Not to forget the culinary highlights that await you during a visit to the restaurants at Ephelia. Not just the selection of dishes but the arrangement, the service and the setting of the gastronomic establishments are delightful. And for younger guests, this resort is like a nature park and huge adventure playground!

Corona & co: the most important questions about vacations in Seychelles

What do I have to consider when vacationing in Seychelles? First, we’ll look at the most critical questions regarding the Corona pandemic, the best times to travel and how to get there.

Covid regulations for the entry to Seychelles

Individuals 2 years of age and older require proof of non-infection with coronavirus for quarantine-free entry to Seychelles. A negative PCR test result not older than 72 hours will be accepted for this purpose. An international travel health insurance that explicitly includes Covid-19 coverage is required for entry.

Travelers can use the test result to make travel arrangements. It is to be completed up to 72 hours before departure. There is a €10 fee for it. Processing can take up to nine hours. A health check will be conducted upon entry.

Weather and best time to travel

High temperatures throughout the year characterize weather in Seychelles. Average temperatures are between 24 and 31 degrees. In the months from May to October, there is a dry season: the best and most popular travel time of the year.

The months of June and July are especially busy. November to April is a more humid climate. It is muggy, tropical hot, and often showers fall daily. These, nevertheless, are of short duration only.

Arrival and flights to Seychelles

Usually, the large American airports fly to the international airport of Seychelles with a stopover at the Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Doha. On the other hand, if you want to go there from Europe, there are more frequent direct flights to the island from Zurich. Flight time is between 10 hours (direct flight) and 15 hours (with a stopover) from Europe.

Rooms and Suites

On Port Launay Beach or Lans Lilet: while all rooms and suites are located on the southern beach bay, the pool villas are on the resort’s north side. With Hillside Villas, guests can even stay in the private villas built high on the hillside. From there, you have a fascinating view of the beach bay and the surrounding mountains.

Two Bedroom Family Pool Villa

Are you looking for suitable accommodation for the whole family? At the Constance Ephelia Seychelles, you will more than find it! Our recommendation is the Two Bedroom Family Pool Villa for 4 persons.

2022 Seychelles Travel Guide

You and your children have enough space on 330 square meters to let off steam and feel as comfortable as possible. Besides the two bedrooms, you get to enjoy a cozy living room, luxurious bathroom and a huge outdoor area with a pool, deck chairs and covered gazebo. And the best: part of the pool is even covered! So even when it rains, you can take a relaxing swim.

Variety of tastes from all over the world: the restaurants at Constance Ephelia

Pizza, tapas, mezze, tandoori, sushi, curries, cocktails, whiskeys, smoothies, coffee and much more are served by the restaurants and bars at Constance Ephelia Seychelles. The resort’s great trump card is the versatility of its gastronomy: you can feast your way through the menus of this world at will. Set menu, Buffet or arranged private dinners: the hotel fulfills all gourmet wishes.

Our tip: If you book half-board, you may not only help yourself to buffets, but you may also enjoy selected menus in the specialty restaurants Adam & Eve, Cyann or Seselwa!

The biggest Spa in the Indian Ocean

Arguably THE highlight of the luxury resort: There is nowhere else in the Indian Ocean where you can choose from such a wide range of wellness facilities and offers as in the Constance Spa at Ephelia. Here, at 5000 square meters, there is enough space to find peace, relaxation and inner balance.

The complex is reminiscent of a village, with 18 wellness suites for massages and other treatments for the face, the skin, and the body. Beautifully designed premises with palm roofs and wooden elements provide a soothing atmosphere. With a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, several pools, and Kneipp bath, there are attractive relaxation options.

Alternatively, might a yoga session be a better alternative for you? From the spa yoga pavilion overlooking the surrounding area, stretch and fitness sessions can be experienced even more impressively in a breathtaking atmosphere. The Spa can also help with nutritional issues with plenty of tips and suggestions.

In the middle of the natural wonder of Seychelles: Recreation & Adventure at Constance Ephelia

Besides “classic” sports activities in the fitness center, tennis court or squash court, Ephelia has even more special leisure experiences to offer. Just above the Hillside Villas, guests can get a good dose of adrenaline and feel like Tarzan in the jungle.

The Zip Lining is a fun way to “swing” from tree to tree through the tropical forest of leaves. There are eight sections to complete during a Zip Line tour: Apparently weightless; participants float in airy height with up to 120 meters long passages.

Have you always wanted to climb one of the classic granite rocks in Seychelles? At Rock Climbing, you have the opportunity to do so! You can climb to the top of the rocks, up to 18 meters high, along several routes.

For those who prefer to go deep rather than high, there is a maritime spectacle in the waters around Ephelia. Countless underwater spots invite divers of all levels to explore the colorful and fish-rich Port Launay Marine National Park. Snorkelers will also get their money’s worth: Lionfish, lipped fish, clownfish, or emperor angelfish swim right up close to the hotel bay. And in the Boat House – the luxury hotel’s water sports center – many water activities and boat trips are possible.

The Constance Kids Club: Always something going on

A Seychelles vacation with kids? The Constance Ephelia is a perfect choice. Not just because of the spacious Family Pool Villas: Children and teenagers will find everything they’re in the mood for in the green tropical forest landscape.

For instance, in the Constance Kids Club, children of ages four to eleven can splash around in the swimming pool, run around in the playground, or get creative. Be it cooking, coloring, craft classes, movie screenings, or beach adventure expeditions; there is always something going on for the younger guests at the luxury hotel.

Alternatively, would you rather spend your honeymoon in Seychelles? The Constance Ephelia is also an ideal place for this. The newlyweds enjoy unique honeymoon specials amidst the resort’s paradise landscape!
