Spider-Man has managed to outperform Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn in only a few hours. One thing we can be certain of is that Sony is happy with the release – an outcome from Steam certainly encourages them to prepare more future ports.
Spider-Man is another major PlayStation Studios production that made its debut on PC, and the next title that has received a lot of attention since its release.
While Sony considered Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn as successes, the games garnered 27,450 and 56,557 players, respectively, in their top times on Steam.
In just 2.5 hours, Spider-Man was able to beat the results of Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn, as the title has already racked up over 59,000 Peter Parker fans.
Everyone who was interested chose to get familiar with the adventure at launch, which means they paid full price for the adventure originally developed for the PS4.
God of War made its PC debut in early 2022, and at its peak, a total of 73,529 interested parties were running around in Kratos’ shoes – a result that can be beaten this weekend, as Spider-Man is just starting up, and we can only suspect that the game will reach its greatest success over the weekend.
It is worth remembering that Spider-Man and Spider-Man Miles Morales proved to be huge successes – with the games reaching combined sales of 33 million copies by June 2022.
