A year ago, New World conquered Steam – with more than 910 thousand simultaneously logged-in players, it was a huge success. More than 400 thousand people played on average, so it was really a phenomenal result.
However, the players quickly crumbled and we observed a decline down to the level of 13 thousand players. But now things are improving and the community is coming back to New World. There are 24 thousand players on average, and at times as many as 45 thousand.
But are we talking about this game right now? Well, that is because this is basically the numerical history of the year of creation of this MMORPG!
That’s right, New World is celebrating its year of existence, and for that reason Amazon is tossing a handful of statistics at us. For example, the Syndicate is the game’s most popular faction.
Close behind it are the Marauders. Some 20% of players, on the other hand, opt for the Covenant. The majority of people also live in Windsward, with Weaver’s Fen and Everfall as the favorite places to PvP.
Cooking, on the other hand, is the most preferred profession. It is also known that the average New World player is spending 110 minutes in the game during a single play session.
So what’s in store for the future? Redesigned starting phase and mounts! In addition, the team is also working on developing combat, bringing more difficult content to the PvE mode, and focusing on the development of solo play, while not abandoning team gameplay.
Whatever you might say about New World, this title hasn’t been abandoned by Amazon and is constantly evolving. Unless the company actually drops it, a really decent MMORPG might become established over time.
As long as it’s not too late for it already, of course, but the history of the genre has proven that there can always be a place for a good game.
