So that all will not be lost upon closure of the Google’s gaming service.

The Elder Scrolls Online is going to allow the transfer of accounts, saves and progress from the Google Stadia version to PC, and now there is official confirmation from Bethesda, which announced the option with some certainty through an official tweet.

As a result, Zenimax Online is working as well to attempt to recover the progress made by players on Google Stadia, and that would be hopelessly lost following the platform’s official shutdown, which is scheduled for January 18, 2023.

Many teams and publishers are becoming concerned about this scenario, including Ubisoft and Bungie among others, which are most concerned about transporting player communities to other platforms so they will not be completely dispersed.

Zenimax Online has been among the most interested, considering the presence of the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online.

“We are happy to announce that Stadia players will be able to transfer their ESO accounts to PC, taking all their progress with them, including but not limited to characters, items, achievements, and inventory. Since Stadia players in fact already play ESO on our PC servers, all friends and guilds will be ready to welcome them as soon as they have made the transfer.” reads the statement from Zenimax and Bethesda.

Additional, more detailed information on the transfer mechanism is to be relayed later, probably in the coming months and by January 2023.
