A tantalizing glimpse into the world of Forspoken has surfaced on the internet, offering a sneak peek at the beginning of this highly-anticipated adventure from Square Enix.

However, be warned – the gameplay footage, recorded on a PS5 in 30 frames per second, but with a resolution of 720p, contains spoilers that may ruin the surprise for those who want to experience the game for themselves.

The footage, originally posted on the Resetera forum before being removed from YouTube, has been shared by forum members on an external website.

It offers a detailed look into the story of Frey, the game’s main character, and delves into the problems she faces in her everyday life before she’s transported to the magical realm of Athia.

Viewers can also catch a glimpse of Frey’s journey through the “looking glass” and get a better understanding of her interactions with NPCs.

While the gameplay footage is sure to whet the appetite of fans eagerly awaiting the game’s release, we advise caution for those who want to fully immerse themselves in the world of Forspoken.

The game, an action RPG that follows Frey’s quest to help the people of Athia and find her way home, is set to debut on January 24th, exclusively on PS5 and PC. However, PC players should be aware that the game has high system requirements and should familiarize themselves with them before purchasing.
