Are you tired of encountering cheaters while playing Call of Duty? Activision has come up with a solution to put an end to this problem.

The company has announced an upgrade to the Ricochet Anti-Cheat system, which will be implemented on April 12, 2023, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.

Activision is determined to make the game fairer for everyone. In a recent post on the official Call of Duty blog, the company revealed that the upgraded Ricochet Anti-Cheat system will detect third-party hardware devices.

This means that players who cheat using tools that give them an unfair advantage, such as recoil elimination, will be caught. Moreover, Activision has introduced three new penalties for cheaters.

Microsoft Says It Had Offered To Keep Call of Duty on PlayStation for 10 Years

The first penalty will make honest players invisible to the cheater, while the second penalty will provide a shield that will protect fair players from projectiles fired by someone using illegal “boosters.” The third and most severe penalty will disarm the cheater, making it impossible for them to use weapons.

Activision has emphasized that the purpose of these penalties is to keep dishonest players on the servers in a harmless form, enabling the Ricochet Anti-Cheat system to collect “valuable information.”

This information will help developers fight cheaters more effectively in the future. Additionally, Activision has implemented a replay system that will allow the team to analyze all situations thoroughly and take appropriate action.

Cheating in Call of Duty is taken seriously, and cheaters caught red-handed will face a permanent ban from all Call of Duty games.

Activision has also published a short video showcasing the three new penalties in action, which you can find at the bottom of the blog post.

In conclusion, the upgraded Ricochet Anti-Cheat system will make life much more difficult for cheaters in Call of Duty, ensuring a fair gaming experience for all players.

With Activision’s commitment to keeping the game free of cheaters, players can look forward to a more enjoyable and competitive gameplay.
