After an intensive five-month filming period, director Todd Phillips has completed work on Joker: Folie à Deux. The highly-anticipated sequel is now in the post-production stage, where the team will polish individual shots and work on the film’s overall story.
With the filming process behind them, Phillips and his team can now focus on marketing the film for its debut in late 2024.
Phillips began filming the first shots of “Joker: Folie à Deux” on December 11, and thanks to a smooth production process, he was able to wrap up the project quickly.
Filming has officially wrapped on ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ starring Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga, Harry Lawtey, Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener.

Now, the post-production team will work on perfecting the film’s individual shots and overall story, ensuring that it’s ready for the big screen next year.
While we may hear about the film’s progress later this year, we’ll have to wait until the full marketing campaign rolls out to get a better idea of what to expect from “Joker 2.” But, knowing Todd Phillips, fans can anticipate some teasers and hints at upcoming DC events.
Recently, fans got a sneak peek of what’s in store for “Joker 2” with behind-the-scenes shots of Lady Gaga donning a Harley Quinn outfit and going wild on the infamous “Joker stairs.”
As the team shifts focus to polishing the film and promoting it, fans can’t wait to see what other surprises they have in store.
