Tom Cruise, known for his relentless work ethic, shows no signs of slowing down. The iconic Mission: Impossible actor, currently 61 years old and about to embark on his seventh outing as IMF agent Ethan Hunt, has expressed his desire to continue making movies well into his 80s.

Aiming to Outlast Harrison Ford

When asked about his aspirations to follow in the footsteps of Harrison Ford, who portrayed Indiana Jones well into his later years, Cruise replied with admiration, “Harrison Ford is a legend; I hope to be still going; I’ve got 20 years to catch up with him.” The actor further added, “I hope to keep making Mission: Impossible films until I’m his age.”

The Future of Mission: Impossible and Beyond

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One

While it remains to be seen if Ethan Hunt will still be accepting missions in his octogenarian years, Tom Cruise’s dedication to the franchise is evident. The next installment for Cruise’s iconic agent is Dead Reckoning Parts One and Two. The first chapter, set to release on July 10 in the UK and July 12 in the US, has already garnered rave reviews from critics.

Screen Rant’s Joseph Deckelmeier declared, “This is now my favorite Mission: Impossible film. With AI as the villain, this feels like a cautionary tale. The action sequences had my heart rate elevated. That train scene is mind-blowing!”

Delve into the Underworld with Fast Charlie: “Get captivated by the gripping narrative of ‘Fast Charlie.’ Check out our comprehensive Fast Charlie review to learn about the film’s blend of intense action, compelling characters, and the journey of Charlie Swift, played by the charismatic Pierce Brosnan, as he navigates the dangerous underworld.”

Expanding Horizons: A Movie in Space

Director Chris McQuarrie has previously confirmed that Mission: Impossible will not conclude with Dead Reckoning Part Two in 2024, despite speculation suggesting otherwise. However, Tom Cruise has even grander plans in mind. The actor is collaborating with director Doug Liman to create a movie filmed in space—an extraordinary project that pushes the boundaries of filmmaking.

While the world awaits Tom Cruise’s cinematic endeavors in 2043, there is much to anticipate in the present. As the actor’s unwavering dedication to his craft continues, audiences can look forward to the thrilling Dead Reckoning Parts One and Two, which promise to deliver the exhilarating action and suspense the Mission: Impossible franchise is known for.

Tom Cruise’s indomitable spirit and his commitment to captivating audiences guarantee a bright future for this cinematic icon.
