Excitement is brewing in the Call of Duty community as the upcoming Season 05 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone brings a star-studded lineup of playable operators.

In celebration of 50 years of Hip Hop, the game introduces three legendary artists: Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and 21 Savage. But the surprises don’t end there, as Lara Croft from Tomb Raider fame is also set to make her mark in the game.

Nicki Minaj’s Debut as a Playable Operator

Get ready to unleash some fierce attitude with Nicki Minaj’s operator skin, featuring her signature bubblegum pink hair. As Call of Duty’s first-ever self-named female operator, Minaj brings her unique style and flair to the battlefield. With her in the fray, rival operators better be prepared to “pound the alarm.”

Snoop Dogg, A Veteran Returns

Continuing the tradition of iconic celebrities joining the Call of Duty universe, Snoop Dogg makes a triumphant return. This time, he’s locked and loaded, ready for any operation, whether it’s going undercover or taking on enemies with guns blazing. As the Call of Duty team aptly puts it, “It’s a Doggy Dogg World, and we’re living in it.”

While details about 21 Savage’s operator skin remain mysteriously redacted, fans can anticipate his arrival in the “Reloaded offerings” later in the season. Brace yourselves for the enigmatic rapper’s appearance, sure to leave an impact on the battlefield.

Lara Croft Ventures into Call of Duty

Not limited to Hip Hop, Call of Duty’s Season 05 also welcomes the iconic Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. Expected to arrive as part of a new operator bundle, Lara’s entry promises a thrilling crossover that fans eagerly anticipate. Will it be a modern-day Lara or the classic adventurer making her debut? The PlayStation blog remains enigmatic, leaving players eager for more details.

As an extra treat, War Tracks featuring “some of hip hop’s seminal tracks” will be available for free between 7th and 16th August. Players can unlock these tracks by logging in to Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone on four separate days within the designated period.

The first three days grant War Tracks from the ’80s (Foundation), ’90s (Golden Era), or 2000s (Life After Y2K). On the fourth day, a special Weapon Blueprint awaits, ready for action in any online mode.
