Larian Studios has released Patch 4 for “Baldur’s Gate 3,” which is so extensive that it has surpassed Steam’s text limit for updates. This update brings a host of improvements to the game, with over 1000 fixes targeting various aspects to enhance the gameplay experience.
One of the key features of this patch is the addition of a color-blind mode, which caters to players with protanopia, deuteranopia, or tritanopia. This new setting, found under the Accessibility tab, adjusts the colors used to distinguish factions and relations, affecting map and minimap icons, portrait frames, and character outlines and circles.
The patch also introduces the ability to customize the appearance of hirelings when recruiting them, adding a layer of personalization to the game.
Furthermore, the update addresses some quirky behaviors of in-game characters, such as Scratch fetching almost everything and Halsin, who will no longer transform into a bear spontaneously before players have the opportunity to interact with him in Act 1.
Other tweaks include improvements to combat, art, and the user interface. While the full patch notes are available, players are cautioned about potential story spoilers contained within the updates.
