EA Sports FC 24 has just launched its much-anticipated Winter Wild Cards event, introducing a range of special player cards and icons that are set to invigorate the Ultimate Team experience. This event, replacing the TOTGS and RTTK cards, will last for more than a week, blending current players with legendary icons in a unique mix.
The Winter Wild Cards event features a total of 23 new cards available in packs, including 8 icon cards and 15 active player cards. The presence of these cards promises to add a new dynamic to team building, with the potential for high costs in terms of in-game coins.
Among the icons, Brazilian legend Pelé stands out as the most coveted card. With all offensive attributes rated 90 or above, Pelé is expected to be a game-changer on the field.
Following him is the impressive Fernando Torres, known for his agility and 5-star dribbling skills, a trait he maintained throughout his active career. Additionally, Ruud van Nistelrooy takes on an unexpected role as a goalkeeper in this lineup.

The event also introduces remarkable current player cards. Alexia’s card, although offering marginal improvements over her base card, includes 1 or 2 additional points in certain attributes and comes with the PlayStyle + Tikitaka enhancement.
Virgil van Dijk, the Liverpool centre-back, sees a shift in his playstyle to Leñero, aligning with his robust in-game attributes. His stats are closely matched to those of his IF card.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s card is another highlight, presenting a mix of improved and slightly downgraded aspects compared to his Avant-garde card. Notably, his agility has received a significant +5 boost, although his PlayStyle+ is considered a downgrade despite improvements in other areas.
Players like Militão, Marcos Llorente, and Raphinha also make the list, offering valuable assets for top-tier team templates. While they may not reach the same price levels as the aforementioned stars, they bring compelling arguments for inclusion in top teams.
Other notable cards include Dybala, Grimaldo, and Balde. These players, while a step below the top-tier cards, still offer compelling options for Ultimate Team players. Additionally, this event marks the first time in the year where all cards come with a PlayStyle+ feature, adding a new layer of strategy to team building.
