In the latest buzz from the gaming world, Atlus and Vanillaware have rolled out a new trailer for their upcoming game, “Unicorn Overlord,” a title that promises to redefine the tactical RPG genre. Accompanying the trailer’s release is the exciting announcement that pre-orders for the game are now open, offering fans an early glimpse into this epic fantasy adventure.

The newly released trailer of “Unicorn Overlord” dives deep into the game’s narrative and gameplay mechanics. It showcases the protagonist, Alain, receiving guidance from knight Josef on his monumental task to save the world from the clutches of the Empire. Alain’s journey spans the vast continent of Fevrith, filled with challenging quests and the noble mission of liberating towns to restore their former glory.

Coming from the creative minds behind “13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim” and “Odin Sphere,” Atlus and Vanillaware present this game as the rebirth of the tactical fantasy RPG genre. “Unicorn Overlord” combines traditional tactical RPG elements with an innovative overworld exploration and a unique battle system, all presented in Vanillaware’s iconic artistic style.

Innovations in Gameplay and Combat

The game introduces a dynamic battle stage where players engage in thrilling real-time combat to capture command posts. As the commander, players must strategically decide when and where to deploy units, with victory conditions ranging from defeating enemy generals to fulfilling specific objectives. This approach to combat demands both tactical thinking and swift decision-making, offering an exhilarating experience to players.

Fans eager to dive into this royal adventure can now pre-order the game in various editions. The “digital Monarch Edition” includes the game itself, a comprehensive 132-page digital art book, and a nostalgic 16-bit background music soundtrack featuring twenty tracks.

For collectors, the physical edition of the Monarch Edition further sweetens the deal with a Premium Edition box, a two-disc soundtrack, the art book in print, an original card game complete with 239 cards, tokens, markers, and the Atlus x Vanillaware Heraldry Pack.
