Lionsgate Names Amanda Kozlowski Worldwide Marketing President

The 18-year Lionsgate veteran takes the top film marketing role after campaigns for Michael, The Housemaid and The Long Walk helped reset the studio’s theatrical momentum.

Lionsgate has promoted Amanda Kozlowski to president of worldwide marketing for its Motion Picture Group, handing the studio’s film campaigns to an 18-year company veteran after a run of high-profile releases restored momentum to a division that stumbled badly at the 2024 box office. Kozlowski had been serving as interim head of marketing and will report to Motion Picture Group chair Adam Fogelson. The move also elevates Nasim Cambron to executive vice president of worldwide marketing and publicity and Jack Teed to executive vice president of worldwide marketing and creative advertising.

Kozlowski’s promotion formalizes an arrangement that had already shaped the studio’s recent slate. Her team led campaigns for The Housemaid, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, The Long Walk and Michael, using experiential tactics aimed at turning early screenings and trailer launches into social-media events. The studio staged treadmill screenings for The Long Walk, plate-smashing screenings for The Housemaid, pop-up magic tied to Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, and dance activations for Michael.

Fogelson framed the appointment as a bet on modern franchise marketing. “When I arrived at Lionsgate, I recognized Amanda’s talent and leadership abilities and have relied on her ever since as a trusted advisor,” he said. Kozlowski thanked Fogelson, Cambron, Teed and the marketing team, saying she was “humbled” by their commitment to films, filmmakers and audiences.

The timing matters. Lionsgate completed its separation from Starz in May 2025, creating a publicly traded content company with a 20,000-title library and a target of 30 to 40 films a year, including a dozen wide theatrical releases. That structure gives the studio clearer investor pressure around theatrical performance, franchise management and library value.

The film group also carries scars from a rough 2024, when titles such as Borderlands, The Crow and Megalopolis fed questions about slate discipline and market position. An activist investor later urged Lionsgate to consider strategic options, including a possible sale, saying the studio behind The Hunger Games and John Wick was undervalued.

Kozlowski now takes charge at a moment when Lionsgate is leaning on recognizable brands, live-event-style marketing and tighter coordination between creative and release strategy. The appointment signals confidence in campaigns built to make mid-sized studio titles feel bigger in a marketplace where audience attention has become the hardest opening-weekend asset to secure.
