House of the Dragon, the highly-anticipated Game of Thrones prequel series, captivated audiences with its riveting depiction of the Targaryen dynasty and the events that transpired hundreds of years before the time of Daenerys Targaryen, memorably portrayed by Emilia Clarke in the original series. In a recent interview, the actress was asked about her thoughts on the new HBO production.

Clarke candidly revealed that she has not been watching the series, stating,

“No! will you forgive me? It’s too weird. I’m happy that this is happening and delighted that the show is getting awards. I’m happy for everyone who creates it, but I can’t do it. It’s too weird. It’s like someone asked me to go to a school reunion, except not for my year. It’s such a feeling. I avoid it.”

While some fans may be disappointed by Clarke’s admission, it is understandable that the actress may find it strange to revisit the world of Game of Thrones in a prequel series, especially after having portrayed one of the most iconic characters in the franchise.

However, House of the Dragon has received widespread critical acclaim and has already been renewed for a second season, solidifying its place as one of last year’s most popular series.

Emilia Clarke’s portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in the hit series Game of Thrones was nothing short of iconic. From 2011 to 2019, Clarke brought the character to life on screen, earning her four Emmy nominations for her performance.

The actress’ portrayal of the “Mother of Dragons” was a significant part of the show’s success and a highlight of the series for many fans.

Recently, House of Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel series, has continued to make waves in the television industry. The show, which explores the history of the Targaryen dynasty, won the Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Series, solidifying its place as one of the most highly-regarded series on television.

The show’s depiction of the Targaryen’s history has captured the imagination of audiences, and fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the second season.

House of the dragon episode 2

Although a premiere date for the second season of House of Dragon has not been announced, fans can rest assured that the series will continue to explore the rich history of the Targaryen dynasty and the events that led to the rise of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones.

With such a talented cast and crew, the show is sure to continue its winning streak and keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
