Exciting news for fans of the Resident Evil series! The long-awaited addition to the Resident Evil 4 Remake has finally arrived, providing players with an opportunity to engage in a brand new game mode.

The developers have just announced that “The Mercenaries” mode is now available as a free add-on, and fans cannot wait to dive in and experience the thrilling gameplay.

“The Mercenaries” mode has been a staple of the Resident Evil franchise since the original release of Resident Evil 4. It is a fast-paced game mode that challenges players to battle against hordes of enemies while racing against the clock.

The new mode promises to deliver the same adrenaline-pumping experience that fans have come to love, but with updated graphics and gameplay mechanics that take advantage of the latest technology.

Resident Evil 4 follows the story of Leon S. Kennedy, who, after his horrific experience in Raccoon City, is now an agent reporting directly to the President of the United States.

In this latest installment, Leon is tasked with rescuing the President’s daughter, who has been kidnapped and taken to a secluded European village.

However, upon arrival, Leon discovers that the villagers are infected with a deadly virus that turns them into aggressive, zombie-like creatures.

The original Resident Evil 4 game introduced the third-person camera to the series, setting the standard for the rest of the franchise. Since its debut in 1996, the Resident Evil series has sold over 127 million copies worldwide, cementing its place as one of the most popular horror game franchises of all time.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PC. There is also a free VR mode coming soon for PS SR2, although the release date has yet to be announced.

Within just two weeks of its release, the game had already sold over four million copies, demonstrating the enduring popularity of the franchise.
