An array of details concerning the anticipated Yakuza spin-off game, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, have inadvertently emerged ahead of an official announcement.
Fans are eager to see if these revelations are substantiated in the upcoming non-E3 livestreams or RGG Studio’s showcase next week.
Flashback to Gaiden’s Origins
Gaiden was initially announced in September last year and promised to offer a condensed yet action-packed gaming experience reminiscent of prior games in the series.
In terms of the storyline, players will follow the familiar protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, as the game uncovers what unfolded in the interval between Yakuza 6 and Like a Dragon 8.
Gaiden’s release was initially hinted at for sometime this year. However, recent data procured by website PS Deals suggests a specific launch date in November.

In a promising move, the PS4 versions of Gaiden (both digital and physical) will offer a free upgrade to the PS5 digital edition.
