In exciting news for video game enthusiasts and fans of the cult classic movie, IllFonic has unveiled its latest project: Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game. The game, inspired by the beloved 80s film, will bring asymmetrical survival horror to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.

While there’s no mention of previously announced versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, IllFonic has yet to confirm the status of these editions.

Charles Brungardt, CEO and co-founder of IllFonic, expressed the team’s enthusiasm in a press release: “When we first started talking to Good Shepherd Entertainment and Teravision Games about this possibility, we were very excited about the IP.”

He further explained that the collaboration with Teravision Games was a perfect match, leading to the birth of the game. Brungardt praised the seamless handoff process between the teams at Good Shepherd Entertainment and IllFonic, highlighting the substantial behind-the-scenes efforts required to make such a project a reality.

Brungardt added, “We are thrilled to help create another experience for the community that they can truly immerse themselves in. Imagining yourself in this universe is wild; it is why we love creating and publishing games for IPs we are fans of!”

Teravision Games Joins the Adventure: CEO Enrique Fuentes Shares Insights

Teravision Games CEO and co-founder Enrique Fuentes also shared his excitement: “We are really excited about partnering with IllFonic for Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game.”

Fuentes acknowledged IllFonic’s mastery of the asymmetrical multiplayer genre, emphasizing the combined passion of both teams as the driving force behind taking the game to new heights. The multiplayer challenges at this scale are met with confidence, powered by the dedication of Teravision Games and IllFonic.

Unveiling the Game: A Glimpse into the Chaos

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is set to deliver a thrilling blend of horror and comedy, much like its source material. The multiplayer experience, featuring three-versus-seven gameplay, lets players immerse themselves in the whimsical yet eerie universe of Killer Klowns.

Players can choose to either join the Klowns in their quest to harvest humans or become part of the courageous team of Crescent Cove citizens determined to fend off an alien invasion.

The game’s arena, Crescent Cove, serves as the battleground for the unique multiplayer clashes. With its diverse locations, both the Klowns and the humans can devise tactical strategies, resulting in dynamic and engaging gameplay.

The game introduces innovative elements such as hide-and-seek mechanics, robust customization and respawn systems, player-versus-player-versus-environment interactions, and dynamic objectives that shape the outcome of each match. Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game marks an evolution in the online horror gaming landscape.
