The family comedy ‘You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah,’ featuring Adam Sandler, climbed to the highest spot overall and became the number one English-language movie on Netflix for the week ending September 3. It garnered nearly 22 million views during its second week since release.

Other returning movies included the animated film ‘The Monkey King,’ taking the second spot on the movie chart with 6.6 million views, and ‘Heart of Stone’ securing the third position with 5.2 million views. A new interactive romantic comedy called ‘Choose Love,’ where viewers make choices for the main character, debuted at fourth place with 6.5 million views.

‘One Piece’ Makes a Big Debut

The much-anticipated original live-action manga series, ‘One Piece,’ made a massive debut with 18.5 million views across 93 countries. It easily claimed the top spot on the English-language TV list, reaching the top 10 in 93 countries and ranking first in 46 territories. Based on Japan’s highest-selling manga series, this live-action adaptation has garnered one of the highest audience scores ever on Netflix.

The U.K. thriller ‘Who Is Erin Carter?’ maintained its momentum in its second week with 15.8 million views, securing the second spot on the English-language TV chart. Newcomers included the docuseries ‘Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones,’ ranking third with 5.7 million views, and ‘Disenchantment Part 5,’ landing at the tenth spot with 4.6 million views.

International Highlights

The non-English language movie chart saw the Mexican comedy ‘The Great Seduction’ debut at the top with 5.4 million views. Other newcomers were the Swedish thriller ‘A Day and a Half’ in third place with 4.4 million views, the Dutch romantic comedy ‘Happy Ending’ at fifth place (2.3 million views), and the Bollywood romance ‘Friday Night Plan’ at ninth place (800,000 views).

Returning to the chart were Spanish horror film ‘Killer Book Club’ at second place with 5.3 million views, the Polish romance ‘Squared Love Everlasting’ at fourth (2.4 million views), the Brazilian true crime documentary ‘A Life Too Short: The Isabella Nardoni Case’ at sixth (1.3 million views), and the German dystopian thriller ‘Paradise’ at seventh (1 million views) during its sixth week on the chart.

In summary, ‘My Bat Mitzvah’ and ‘One Piece’ emerged as the top contenders in Netflix’s weekly streaming report, showcasing the platform’s diverse and global viewership.
