Steam’s highly anticipated Next Fest has made its return, bringing with it an exciting week of sneak peeks into future game releases. This event is not just about demos; it’s a celebration of gaming’s diverse offerings, featuring developer livestreams, interactive chats, and, of course, “hundreds” of playable demos for eager gamers to explore.
Valve’s latest installment of Steam Next Fest is already in full swing and will continue until Monday, October 16th, at 5.59 pm BST or 9.59 am PST. Gamers have nearly a full week to immerse themselves in a wealth of playable demos, offering a taste of what’s to come in the gaming world.
Gone are the days when one could feasibly conquer the entire demo lineup within the event’s duration. However, Valve has made the process easier by organizing the demos into easily navigable and digestible categories, making it simpler for gamers to discover titles that pique their interest.
Among the showcased titles, some are already familiar to gamers, including The Talos Principle 2, Saturnalia from Santa Ragione, Pioneers of Pagonia by Volker Wertich (the original designer of The Settlers), and ThatGameCompany’s Sky: Children of the Light, which is set to make its debut on PC soon. Yet, one of the joys of Next Fest is its ability to uncover hidden gems, providing players with exciting new experiences to explore.
In addition to the wealth of playable content, Valve has curated a schedule of developer livestreams and chats. These sessions offer valuable insights into the games featured in this edition of Next Fest, allowing players to connect with the creators behind their favorite titles.
As the gaming community delves into Steam’s Next Fest, they are encouraged to share their thoughts and discoveries in the comments section, fostering a sense of camaraderie and excitement among gamers.
Steam’s Next Fest is more than just a showcase; it’s an immersive and interactive experience that offers a glimpse into the future of gaming. With countless demos and developer insights awaiting exploration, it’s an event that no gaming enthusiast should miss.
