Resident Evil 7 was published on PC, PlayStation and Xbox in January 2017, although five years later there are still some curiosities about Capcom’s horror game that has become one of the best-selling games in the history of the Japanese company.
Fans have noticed that, checking the record of PlayStation trophies on the occasion of its release on the new generation of consoles, 9% of players never got past the first cinematic, meaning that they have launched the game and started the controls, but have left it before the relevant trophy pops up once we go to Louisiana.
This can obviously be for different reasons, but what is clear is that fear will have been one of the main reasons for several users who have chosen to either park it or return it. Nearly one out of ten players failed to control Ethan after the first scene.
We must make it clear that these players have started the game, since it is necessary to start recording data on the trophies, therefore it is ruled out that these are people who have simply bought it and have not yet played it.
The first scene shows the character watching two videos sent by his wife on a laptop. The first one tells him that she will be home soon, while the second one urges him not to wait and not to go looking for her. The appearance of Mia Winters was either too much for this group of players or they thought better of it before playing the game.
As we mentioned, the title recently made the leap to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with an enhanced version that was accompanied by a free PC patch.
