It’s now very close to the official debut of Gamescom 2022, which returns this year accepting people for the first time since Covid pandemic and which we at Gazettely will obviously be following very closely.
The first appointment to mark on the calendar is Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live, which, as happened in recent years, is going to put the emphasis on the end of the Summer Game Fest that began in June and present new trailers and gameplay for video games, some of them at their world premiere.
In a new trailer released in these hours, organizers have confirmed how long Opening Night Live 2022 will last: we’re talking about a show of about two hours, where they will preview several titles. Several of which, intentionally anticipated by the video you will find in the opening.

Knightley’s conference, which features as always the participation of numerous publishers, will enable us among others to take a new look at:
- Gotham Knights
- Return to Monkey Island
- The Callisto Protocol
- Hogwarts Legacy
- A Plague Tale: Requiem
- Sonic Frontiers
- High on Life
- The Outlast Trials
- Honkai Star Trail
- Goat Simulator 3
- The Expanse: The Telltale Series.
All these games are among those seen in the trailer ( several of which Geoff Knightley has already confirmed on Twitter in previous days), so expect to find out more about them, partly because some are approaching release-such as A Plague Tale: Requiem and Gotham Knights ( you can pre-order it on Amazon), which have their dates set for fall.
