Joker: Folie à Deux, which is the sequel to the Oscar-winning film, has gotten a new cast member. Therefore, we will see Brendan Gleeson on the screens.
Sadly, as of yet it is not known who the famous Irish actor will play. Deadline’s Justin Kroll has suggested that the new character is probably going to be affiliated with Arkham Hospital.
We have so far seen Gleeson in the Harry Potter series, and in such productions as Mr. Mercedes, Calvary, Braveheart, Gangs of New York, Suffragette and 28 Days Later, to name a few.
What is known is that the film Joker: Folie à Deux will return Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role and Zazie Beetz, or Sophie Dumond from the first part.
The new acquisition in the cast, on the other hand, is Lady Gaga; with the actress and singer playing the role of Harley Quinn.
Once again Todd Phillips is behind the camera. Not much is known about the plot so far, unfortunately; the plot will probably be set in Arkham Hospital, while the film is expected to be a musical. The release of the title is set for October 4, 2024.
