In case anyone was worried that Warner Bros. has abandoned plans for a Harry Potter TV series, they’ll be able to breathe a sigh of relief.
During the ongoing Content London 2022 event, the CEO of Warner Bros. Television Studios, Channing Dungey, spoke on the subject.
She informed that she is aware of the potential of the universe and knows exactly what fans are waiting for (via Variety):
I wish I could tell you that something will be on the horizon soon, but I can assure you that there is a lot of interest in this subject with us and a lot of passion in the employees, that’s for sure. The most beautiful thing is to see how engaged the audience is and waiting for news. Our spontaneous team did a fantastic job last year on the HBO special episode, Harry Potter – 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. It had an amazing reception. Then we still did [the program] Harry Potter: The Hogwarts Tournament of Houses, which was hosted by Helen Mirren. The audience is ready, they want to move with it, and so we first have to find the right direction for the work.
