Stranger Things to Receive an Animated Series from Netflix as a Tribute to Classic Cartoons

The announcement was made official by Flying Bark Productions, Upside Down Pictures, and 21 Laps, who will be responsible for bringing this project to life.

The creators of Stranger Things, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, will act as executive producers alongside Eric Robles, while Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen will also be involved in the production.

While plot details about the animated series have not been released, the Duffer brothers have revealed that it will pay tribute to classic cartoons that aired on Saturday mornings, promising an exciting and nostalgic viewing experience.

As of now, it is unclear whether the animated series will follow the same plotline as its live-action counterpart.

However, fans have the opportunity to weigh in on this topic and share their opinions on whether they would prefer to see more of the same story or brand new adventures for their favorite characters.
