Prepare for an intense and thrilling experience as the creators of the gripping game Project Winter take on the zombie-infested world in The Walking Dead: Betrayal. This upcoming third-person action game challenges up to eight players to work together, complete objectives, evade the undead, and uncover the hidden “traitors” among them who have a dark agenda of their own.

Survival in the Canadian wilderness will be no easy feat as players must scavenge resources, cook food, craft weapons, and constantly stay one step ahead of the relentless walker hordes that relentlessly pursue them.

Through proximity chat, the game encourages players to stick together, fostering a sense of camaraderie. Additionally, radios may enable communications between separated groups, creating suspenseful moments of strategizing and coordination.

The Twist: Betrayal Lurks Within

However, not all survivors can be trusted. Secretly nestled within each group are individuals determined to sow chaos and destruction. Initially, these traitors must blend in and gain the trust of others. But as the game progresses, they can unleash their true intentions, offering a plethora of “creative possibilities” to disrupt the group dynamics.

From poisoning food and setting traps to attracting walkers with noise and sabotaging equipment, the traitors can even resort to outright murder, targeting those who wander too far from the safety of the group. Unveiling the dark side of humanity, The Walking Dead: Betrayal exposes the hidden anger and spite that lies within us all.

Seek Revenge as the Undead

Even death is not the end in The Walking Dead: Betrayal. If fate befalls a player, they will be given the opportunity to exact revenge by taking control of the walkers themselves. This unique twist offers a chance for fallen players to turn the tables and unleash their wrath upon those who betrayed them.

The Walking Dead: Betrayal bears a striking resemblance to Project Winter, with the added pressure of navigating through hordes of ravenous zombies. This intensifies the gameplay, leaving players with little time to ponder their choices before taking swift action. The unpredictable nature of the game promises a multitude of funny and unexpected outcomes, leading to moments of both amusement and suspense.

While an official release date for The Walking Dead: Betrayal has yet to be announced, eager players can look forward to a closed beta starting on August 10.

If you’re ready to test your survival skills and uncover the traitors in this thrilling zombie apocalypse, sign up for a chance to participate in the closed beta through the TWD: Betrayal Discord server. Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping journey where trust can be shattered, and survival hangs by a thread.
