In the ever-evolving landscape of the gaming industry, Jamie Walker and Sefton Hill, the co-founders of Rocksteady Studios, have embarked on a fresh journey with the creation of Hundred Star Games. This move comes as the gaming world eagerly anticipates the release of “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” a title developed by their former studio.

Walker and Hill, pivotal figures behind the success of Rocksteady Studios, notably known for the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham series, made headlines in 2022 when they announced their departure from the company they helped establish in 2004. Their exit was marked by a heartfelt letter expressing the emotional significance of their decision.

They reminisced over their accomplishments, including the revered Arkham series and their contributions to the then-upcoming Suicide Squad game. With the Suicide Squad project in capable hands, they felt it was the right moment to pursue a new adventure in the gaming world.

The formation of Hundred Star Games marks the beginning of this new adventure. According to business information sourced from Endole, a public business database, Hundred Star Games was incorporated on February 21, 2023, and is registered in London. This new studio, spearheaded by Hill and Walker, adds an intriguing chapter to their storied careers in game development.

Little has been revealed about the specific direction or projects of Hundred Star Games, but it is evident that the studio is gearing up for something significant. As reported by Great Place to Work, the company currently boasts about 25 UK-based employees and is described as a video game start-up. The studio’s official webpage indicates ongoing recruitment for various undisclosed roles, suggesting a project in development.

Despite the lack of a formal announcement from Hill and Walker, the formation of Hundred Star Games has piqued the interest of the gaming community. It raises questions about the type of games the studio will develop and how the founders’ rich history in creating immersive, story-driven experiences will shape this new endeavor.
