As Jason Caperna and wife Janet prepare to welcome their first child on Bravo’s The Valley, a controversial decision to exclude certain co-stars from their baby moon celebration has stirred up drama. However, Jason stands firmly behind the move, citing his wife’s health as the top priority.
The baby moon trip to Big Bear initially raised eyebrows when castmates Kristen Doute, Luke Broderick, and Zack Wickham were left off the guest list. In an interview with The Daily Dish, Jason revealed the reasoning stemmed from a concerning incident where Janet experienced contractions likely “brought on by stress” from Doute and Wickham’s attempts to involve her in lies about co-star Michelle Lally.
“Personally, I have absolutely no regrets about who we chose to invite and not invite to the baby moon,” Jason stated. The health scare was so alarming that the couple even briefly considered leaving the show entirely.
Determined to ensure a stress-free experience for his expecting wife, Jason explained, “So that was our priority. Just making sure that Janet had a stress-free baby moon, and it was successful in that way.”
The decision, however, did not sit well with the excluded co-stars. Doute and Wickham took to social media, jokingly pretending they would show up in Big Bear regardless, while Doute accused Janet of asserting herself as the “queen bee” by leaving her out.
Jason dismissed any notion of a personal vendetta, clarifying, “It wasn’t like there was some sort of an intentional, like sit-down and like, ‘Let’s take notes and let’s share paperwork and let’s share our thoughts on like, who can we leave out?'”
While the baby moon drama continues to unfold, another Valley star, Jesse Lally, has been making headlines for an entirely different reason – his surprising Hollywood connection to the late Anna Nicole Smith.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Jesse revealed that he starred in a TrimSpa commercial alongside Smith in the early 2000s, leading to an unexpected friendship that lasted over a year. Jesse even shared a throwback photo of the two donning bathrobes together, further fueling the fascination with his celebrity ties.
As The Valley’s dramatic first season continues, it’s clear that both on and off-screen, the cast members have no shortage of captivating stories to share, from baby moon controversies to rubbing elbows with Hollywood icons.
