The recording, which was played on “The Megyn Kelly Show” during an interview with Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, talks about how Baldoni and his family were left alone for more than an hour at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City during what was meant to be the highlight of his career.
In the recording, Baldoni stated, “On what could have been one of the most beautiful nights of my life career-wise, I was sent to the basement with all my friends and family. Noting that his group “started laughing because of the ridiculousness of this whole thing,” he found humor in the situation despite its seriousness.
Tensions between Baldoni and Lively are rising as this happens. Lively complained to Baldoni in December that he was sexually harassing her while they were shooting. She also said he spread lies about her before the film’s release. Baldoni has sued The New York Times for $250 million for printing Lively’s claims.
Her claims are “backed by concrete facts,” according to Lively’s legal team. They say that the situation is more than just differences in creativity. Her lawyers stressed, noting that sexual harassment and retaliation are illegal in any workplace, that this is not a “feud” resulting from “creative differences” or a “he said/she said” situation.
