The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, an upcoming action-adventure game by Daedalic Entertainment, has raised the bar for hardware requirements.

The game, set in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth, features the character of Gollum and offers players a unique opportunity to explore his story. However, to experience the game’s full potential, you need a powerful PC with impressive hardware.

According to the system requirements published on Steam, the game requires a minimum of 16GB RAM, a GTX 1080 graphics card, and 45 GB of free disk space to play in medium details.

However, playing on maximum graphics settings with ray tracing enabled demands much more. You need a whopping 32GB of memory and an RTX 3080 graphics card. This configuration will allow you to enjoy the game in 1440p resolution with ray tracing effects.

Minimum and recommended system requirements for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum are as follows:

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum – Minimum System Requirements

Operating system: Windows 10/11
Processor: Intel i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Graphics card: Geforce GTX 1080 or Geforce RTX 2060
RAM: 16GB
Disk space: 45 GB

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum – Recommended System Requirements

Operating system: Windows 10/11
Processor: Intel i3-6100 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Graphics card: Geforce RTX 3080
RAM: 32GB
Disk space: 45 GB

While it’s possible to lower the graphics settings and turn off ray tracing to reduce the game’s resource consumption, playing the game at maximum settings will undoubtedly provide an immersive experience.

It’s worth noting that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will also be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5, with a release date set for May 25. The game will also debut on the Nintendo Switch by the end of 2023.

Moreover, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be available in two editions, Basic and Precious. The Basic edition offers a physical or digital version of the game, while the more expensive Precious edition includes an artbook, a compendium of knowledge, the official soundtrack, and a unique feature: a full package of dubbing in the Elvish language.

Overall, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum promises to be an exciting game that offers players an immersive experience in Tolkien’s world. However, to experience the game’s full potential, you need a powerful system with at least 32GB of RAM and an RTX 3080 graphics card.
