As the release date for Returnal’s PC version approaches, the developers at Housemarque have shared exciting new details about the improvements and features that players can expect.

In a recently released trailer, they highlighted the game’s five different graphics settings, which include in-game performance metrics such as frame rate counters and CPU and GPU usage meters. This will allow players to fine-tune their gaming experience for optimal performance.

In addition to these performance enhancements, the PC version of Returnal will also offer support for three different image formats – 16:10, 21:9 (ultrapanoramic), and 32:9 (superultrapanoramic) – to ensure an expanded field of view and a more immersive gaming experience.

These wider formats will also feature additional options for cutscenes and the in-game interface, all in stunning 4K resolution.

One of the most exciting new features of the PC version of Returnal is the inclusion of ray tracing, which adds an entirely new layer of lighting options and enhances the game’s already impressive visuals. The game will also support technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS, NVIDIA NIS, and AMD FSR2, further enhancing the player’s experience.

It’s worth noting that the PC version of Returnal will be available for purchase at a slightly lower price point than the PlayStation 5 version, which debuted on April 30, 2021.
