Beckham’s New Docuseries Tops Netflix Charts with 12.4 Million Views

Netflix’s new limited docuseries, “Beckham,” featuring football icon David Beckham, has stormed the English TV charts, claiming the top position with a remarkable 12.4 million views in the week starting October 2nd. The show’s success has left an indelible mark on the streaming platform’s English TV rankings.

Following closely is the fourth season of the beloved coming-of-age series “Sex Education,” which held its ground at the #2 spot with 6.6 million views. “Love Is Blind” Season 5 managed to secure the #3 position with 3.7 million views.

Meanwhile, the enduring popularity of “One Piece” saw it maintain a place on the list, settling at #4 with 2.5 million views. “Virgin River” Season 5, in its fifth week on the list, occupied the #6 position with 2 million views. Furthermore, Season 1 of the UFO thriller “Encounters” made a splash at #5 with 2 million views.

The true crime narratives “Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal Season 2” and “Who Killed Jill Dando?” landed at #8 and #9, respectively, with 1.8 million and 1.6 million views. Making a comeback, the animated series “Castlevania: Nocturne” reentered the rankings at #7, garnering 1.8 million views. Finally, “The Great British Baking Show” rounded off the list, debuting at #10 with 1.6 million views.

Lupin’s Dominance on the Non-English TV List

The crime heist series “Lupin” from France made its presence felt on the Non-English TV List. Part 3 of “Lupin” seized the top position, debuting at #1 with a staggering 11.6 million views. Parts 1 and 2, already established on the Most Popular Non-English TV List, claimed #2 and #4 on the weekly list, amassing 3.5 million and 2.7 million views, respectively.

The German psycho-thriller limited series “Dear Child” spent its fifth week on the list, securing the #3 spot with 3 million views. The Korean presence on the list remained strong, with the new comedy “Strong Girl Nam-soon” debuting at #5 with 1.6 million views.

The reality competition series “The Devil’s Plan” and the romantic comedy “Destined with You” came in at #6 and #7, respectively, with 1.5 million views. The drama “Song of the Bandits” took the #9 spot with 1 million views. Wrapping up the list, the limited thriller series “Burning Body” from Spain occupied #8, boasting 1.3 million views, while the limited drama series “Thursday’s Widows” from Mexico rounded out the list at #10 with 1 million views.

English Films, Non-English Films, and their Top Performers

In the English Films List, the crime thriller “Reptile,” starring Benicio Del Toro, Justin Timberlake, and Alicia Silverstone, retained its top position for the second consecutive week, pulling in a remarkable 19.9 million views.

“Fair Play,” a new relationship thriller directed by Chloe Domont and starring Phoebe Dyvenor and Alden Ehrenreich, debuted at #2 with 12.6 million views.

The Australian rom-com “Love Is in the Air” found a spot at #3, amassing 7.2 million views. “Spy Kids: Armageddon,” the family action comedy, spent its third week on the list and secured the #7 position with 4.3 million views. Finally, the Nigerian thriller “The Black Book” closed the list at #10, attracting 3.7 million views.

Over on the Non-English Films List, the dystopian survival thriller “Nowhere” from Spain maintained its supremacy for the second consecutive week, collecting 29.9 million views. The film has also secured the eighth spot on the Most Popular Non-English Films List, with a total of 53.7 million views.

New entries on the weekly list included the action thriller “Ballerina” from Korea at #3, accruing 10.1 million views. The Indian thriller “Khufiya” landed at #5 with 5 million views, and the comedy “OMG 2” from India entered at #7 with 2.4 million views. The Mexican comedy “A Deadly Invitation” wrapped up the list, making an appearance at #10 with 1.7 million views.

Returning favorites rounded out the list, with the romantic drama “Forgotten Love” from Poland taking #2 with 10.5 million views, the action-adventure “Overhaul” from Brazil coming in at #4 with 5 million views, and the true crime documentary “Ice Cold: Murder, Coffee and Jessica Wongso” from Indonesia ranking at #6 with 2.7 million views. The French crime drama “Street Flow 2” took the #8 spot with 2.1 million views, and the thriller “Jaane Jaan” from India closed the list at #9 with 1.9 million views.
