Apple TV+ has added Shea Whigham, Raymond Lee, and Sasha Calle to the main cast of Sugar for its second season. The series, led by Colin Farrell, was created by Mark Protosevich and features a modern interpretation of the private detective format.

Whigham, Lee, and Calle join previously announced season regulars Jin Ha, Laura Donnelly, and Tony Dalton. Whigham is expected to play a government agency worker aiding Sugar. Calle is expected to appear as a hustler working under Sugar’s direction. No character details have been released for Lee.

Farrell, who also serves as an executive producer, starred in the first season alongside Kirby, Amy Ryan, James Cromwell, Anna Gunn, Dennis Boutsikaris, Nate Corddry, Sydney Chandler, and Alex Hernandez.

Sam Catlin serves as showrunner for the upcoming season and executive produces under his Short Drive Entertainment label. Additional executive producers include Audrey Chon and Simon Kinberg for Genre Films, which operates under a first-look agreement with Apple TV+. Farrell, Scott Greenberg, Chip Vucelich, Christopher Rogers, and Gary Tieche are also executive producers. Claudine Farrell is credited as co-executive producer.

Whigham recently appeared in Netflix’s American Primeval and Magnolia Pictures’ Lake George. Upcoming projects include Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Netflix’s Death by Lightning, and Unspeakable: The Murder of JonBenet Ramsey for Paramount+. He is represented by WME and Range Media Partners.

Lee played the lead in NBC’s Quantum Leap reboot and was featured in Top Gun: Maverick and the independent film The Unknown Country. He is represented by Gersh, Stephanie Nese Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

Calle made her feature debut in The Flash as Supergirl. Her upcoming credits include On Swift Horses for Sony Pictures Classics, RIP on Netflix, and Wardriver. She is represented by CAA, The Society, and attorney Sloan Whiteside-Munteanu.
